Positive Affirmations For Anxiety

Most people will experience stress and anxiety at various times in their lives. Positive affirmations for anxiety can help you to deal with these problems. The feeling of stress can often come about due to events that make you feel nervous or frustrated. This stress not only affects your brain but also your body.

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, unease or fear and can be a reaction to stressful situations. We all know what it is like to go for a job interview or take an important exam. I think most of us would obviously feel anxious and stressed in those situations. However if we did not experience those feelings we may not be motivated to take the exam or attend the job interview.

Stress and anxiety can help you to overcome dangerous situations or major challenges so in the short term they are not always bad.

Stress and anxiety often share many identical physical & emotional symptoms such as tension, headaches, uneasiness, loss of sleep & high blood pressure but they do not have different origins, and distinguishing which one you are experiencing is crucial to starting an effective treatment plan and getting better.

Anxiety is often characterized as a “persistent feeling of apprehension or dread” in non-threatening situations and can persist for some time after a concern has gone.

Stress in its self is a common trigger for anxiety and if anxiety symptoms are not dealt with early then this can lead to the development of anxiety disorder.

“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.”

Amit Ray

Staying positive does not mean that everything will be ok but it is knowing you will be ok regardless of how things turn out. We all have the power to control our emotions but if we are not using it our lives can, if we let them head into a downward spiral where worry, fear & stress can take over.

We need to remember that life is meaningless and we have within us the power to give it meaning.

Fear of uncertainty, fear of the unknown, fear of failure are things that may cause you stress but that is because you are basically creating the stress by defining the situation in a negative manner. All your feelings stem from what your beliefs are in any given situation. If you change your thoughts and beliefs then you will automatically change how you feel.

If you look at your life you can ask yourself if you are constantly on the go, rushing here & there at a fast pace, not taking time to catch your breath. If so, the chances are that you are the cause of your anxiety because of the fast pace in which you are moving through life.

STOP! Slow your pace down to the point that you feel comfortable with. Become conscious of your breathing. “Are you shallow breathing”? i.e. taking short breaths into your chest. This is the case with many people in the fast-paced society we live in today. They are actually bringing on their anxiety due to the pace at which they run their lives. Chill out, slow down, do fewer things, and concentrate on what is important QUALITY vs QUANTITY.

Life should not be a constant battle with anxiety. Rebuilding our tolerance for anxiety and stress is a priority and it has been proven that positive affirmations for anxiety are a sure way to get you on the road to recovery. They will not only boost your self-esteem, your overall well being, and clear your mind, they will help to rebuild your tolerance for anxiety and stress.

Repeating these positive affirmations for anxiety daily will heighten your chances of creating new positive thought patterns for the greatest effect. You will create a positive state of mind that is productive and healthy and that is where we would all like to be.

You should set a regular time each day and the more often you repeat the affirmations for anxiety the greater the benefit will be. Using them constantly will allow you to become carefree and calm. You will feel the tension release from your body as you take a few deep relaxing breaths. You will be able to put all your worries and doubts into perspective and not allow them to take control of you. You will see how much happier and healthier you become.
